Last week, our family went to New Braunfels for vacation with Hubby’s family. No, we did not go to Schlitterbahn! But, Hubby did float the Comal River, though, and we made several trips to nearby Gruene (where I found a miracle cure).
And, we ate LOTS of Marble Slab ice cream. As you can see, my daughters prefer Chocolate. Mommy likes Cheesecake and Cheesecake with strawberries. Daddy likes Praline (mainly to irritate his sister!) and Cheesecake.
On Wednesday, we headed to San Antonio to Sea World. My girls really loved it, especially Shamu and the Acrobat/Dolphin/Buluga Whale show.
We also went to a spring-fed water park at Landa Park. Little M had a time crawling around the shallow end!
And, we drove around looking for deer. Yes, you read correctly, deer. Apparently, they are rampant in New Braunfels… they are EVERYWHERE!

Now, it might be funny to the tourists, but I’m sure the people who live here are not too thrilled to have deer chowing down on their vegetation and running amuck through their yards. I’m guessing automobile insurance is pretty high in this area, too.

Little M tried avacadoes for the first time, and LOVED them! Woo-hoo!
On the way home, the trip took a little longer than we thought, so we took a detour to visit Alyssa! My girls got to play with L and I got to snuggle with Alyssa’s little man. It was so much fun, and our girls got along great! They had a lot of fun together.
Yep, we have adorable kids!
