It is amazing to see what everyone is giving and doing for other people during this 30-day giving challenge! I love seeing updates on Twitter… they are so inspiring!
This Sunday, I picked up an extra paper (with coupons!) for one of my favorite people in the world. She is a doll, and is a blessing to all who know her. I have known this sweet woman my entire life, and I hope to be half the woman she is some day 🙂
It is difficult to get coupons in our town, as the state paper is no longer delivered here. We must drive 25 minutes one-way to pick up a newspaper that contains coupons. I knew this sweet woman was wanting to get some coupons, so I snagged that paper for her.
She called me today, and asked if she could stop by.
This dear woman brought me a pie. And not just any pie, but a YUMMY chocolate pie. What made it even better, was she was able to stay and chat with me awhile. It was so nice spending time with this amazing woman of God.
I did not post this to brag on myself, but to simply show how even a simple act can spread love so quickly. {And, for the record, I had been planning to get her these coupons anyway, and it actually was in no way connected to the giving challenge! Just in case you read this, Mrs. F!}
If I had known that getting a paper with coupons in it would have gotten me a pie, then I would have bought her one a long time ago.
