If you are new to this whole frugal, couponing, bargain hunting thing, welcome aboard!
There is so much information out there, it can very quickly become overwhelming. I am starting a new feature called “Coupon Tips for Newbies”, which I hope will bless you in your quest to become better stewards. The best way to learn is to start slow, and gradually cut down your spending as you get the hang of things.
I hope you will love it as much as I do, and will find ways to share your stockpiles and freebies with others in need.
With that said, here is my very first tip:
This may seem silly and small, but if you have never been a coupon clipper, you need to start with a fresh new pair of scissors that make you smile. You will be spending a lot of time with those scissors, and if used correctly, they will save you a LOT of money.
Pink is my favorite color (obviously), and I used my nifty label maker to dub them “Mommy’s Coupon Scissors”. The cost, you must be wondering? Why, only $1.99 at my local Hobby Lobby. Of course, I could invest in a really quality pair that will last much longer. However, things have a tendency to disappear when you have older children around. These are actually fantastic for the price, nice and sharp!
*Special Note: don’t leave these lying around where your two old can get a hold of them and give “dolly”, or worse, herself, a haircut.
Check back for more tips, I will be adding new ones soon!

Battle of the blogs! Yours is so cool. And mom’s is tight too. I gotta catch up.
