I just read a great post by Kendra over at Handprints on the Wall. She has some very inspiring ideas on how to survive as a 1 income family (warning: some of them are a little harsh).

Not long ago, I was a single mommy working full time to survive in expensive Orange County, CA. I worked every weekend, and many holidays. Thousands of hard-earned dollars went to childcare expenses. I missed out on so many milestones and precious memories with my daughter. By God’s grace, I now have a loving a husband and live in a much more affordable area. I truly appreciate my life in a way that only a former single mom could.

I currently work 2 days a week at a Christian preschool to supplement our income. Not only do I love my job, daughter #2 is there with me, and thriving. I truly have the best of both worlds!

Check out Kendra’s post HERE. Thank you, Lord, for giving me a second chance at motherhood.
