How I Shop for Clothes: Kohl’s Clearance +discount!

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy here.

Since I am not a huge fan of buying second-hand (I usually get better deals off the rack), my favorite way to buy clothes for my family is at Kohl’s. This only works if you are a Kohl’s cardholder, but, you MUST pay off the balance in full each month to truly see the savings.

My strategy:
Wait for a Kohl’s bonus discount, which is mailed to me each month. There is a bonus opportunity April 9-15th for cardholders. I received the 30% bonus, yippee! Hit the clearance racks and stock up on basic, mix and match essentials for the kids. I love to buy larger sizes post-season to save for next year.

For extra savings on gas, save yourself a trip to the store and redeem this 30% off online at Kohl’s by entering this code at check out: GRANDOPEN30

Thanks to Kendra for this Free shipping code: MVC2708

For even more savings, shop through Ebates. Not an Ebates member? Sign up here for free, and receive $5 just for doing so. Ebates will give you 2% cashback for Kohl’s purchases made online. I use Ebates for all my online shopping.

Here is an example of a Kohl’s deal you can use today:
Log on to Ebates. Search all stores for the Kohl’s link. Click the clearance button. Find this black clutch in the accessories category.

Clearance Price= $5.00

At checkout, pay with your Kohl’s Charge Card and enter the codes above, one at a time.

New Total= $3.72

Total after Ebates refund(including $5 sign-up bonus)= FREE + $1.30 Profit!

Now that is what I call a great bargain.

Hmmm…so it might be worth it to get a Kohl’s card. (BTW, neat poll about coupon storage in your sidebar, but it didn’t have an option for “in a coupon organizer/pouch.”) 🙂
