CVS Craze Makes Headlines!

How exciting! A few of my favorite blogs, and one of my favorite past-times (shopping at CVS) are featured in an article at MSN moneyblog.

The word is spreading! Now, this could mean more competition in the aisles for you and me. I have a dreaded fear that someday CVS will decide it can no longer give away free toothpaste and other necessities. So… we might as well enjoy it while it lasts, right?

But overall, I am thrilled that MSN is promoting a great way to save money on everyday needs. CVS and Walgreens can truly help American families reduce their spending, if they know how to play the game.

That brings me to this post I came across on Mommy Making Money. Gina discusses the benefits of buying things at CVS that you don’t necessarily need, to buy the things you do need. She offers a great explanation!

Like other bloggers, I often recap my CVS success each week. You can see proof, including photos, of what I have bought for very little money.

What you can’t see, is how this has impacted my family’s monthly spending plan. Thanks to CVS, a good chunk of money is freed up every month to apply to debt. It has also eased the burden of rising gas prices.

If you have never tried the “Drugstore Game”, read my tips for CVS success here.
