Well, Frugal Friends, I have been blogging since mid-March and loving every minute. It’s my turn to give something back to my faithful readers!
I am approaching 100 subscribers to my feed, so what better way to celebrate than a Bloggy Giveaway!
Here’s the scoop:
Leave a comment below. Not just any comment, I want something worth reading. In “keeping” with the mission of my blog, I would love to hear your favorite Bible verse! Not a Bible reader? That’s ok, I wasn’t either for 24 years. Leave your favorite quote.
The contest will be open for one week, so you have until Saturday, June 7th to leave a comment. Anyone is welcome to comment! Make sure to include some way to contact you if you do not have a blog.
Oh yes, the PRIZE. Remember the $10 Target Gift Card I received from Ebates? Well, since my readers really earned it, I want a reader to have it. I will use Random Number Generator to select the winner!
Here is MY favorite verse:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, [she] is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Lay not up for yourselves trasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth currupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 6:19-21
I always need to remind myself that my focus needs to be on heavenly treasures!

My favorite quote is “This too shall pass”
Betsy says
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

I see so many of my favorite already listed. I will add some of my other favorites.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” James 1:2-5
I love this verse. I have seen how God has allowed trials in my life to transform me.
Another Favorite:
“Look at the nations and watch— and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.” Habakkuk 1:5
This is a verse that God gave me during our infertility struggles, about 3-4 years before I got pregnant. Long story short, when the doctor told me I was pregnant, I didn’t believe him. God is true to his word.

I just now found your blog 🙂 A fellow Texas and Christian. My favorite verse changes…but I am now meditating on Psalm 77:13-15: “O God, your ways are holy. Is gthere any god as mighty as you? You are the God of miracles and wonders! You demonstrate your awesome power among the nations. You have redeemed your people by your strength, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph by your might.” I need to knwo that God is the God of miracles and wonders! Blessings to you!

I am in love with your blog. I found it a couple of weeks ago and I am here reading at least 3 times a week now. It is so hard to choose just one verse to say is my favorite. There are so many that speak to me depending on the day. Today I would say Isaiah 43. I’m not going to write it down because it is way to long. But thank you. It has been so much fun reading everyones favorites.
