Shortcuts: Clipless Coupons Linked to Your Grocery Card!

This from reader and friend, Natalie:

Kroger had sent me some info on linking coupons directly to my Kroger card and I was really skeptical. How would I know what was linked to my card, what if I had a manufacturer coupon that could triple but it wouldn’t be valid because of the linked coupon . . . I had many questions and I didn’t like the lack of control in figuring my total before I hit the store.

I linked just a couple of coupons to my Kroger card just to try it out. Today I went to Kroger and bought some lucky charms that I had a $1 off coupon for. I immediately realized my total was less than I had figured, but of course I didn’t complain. When I got home I looked at my receipt and noticed an extra .55 cent coupon – not a coupon that I had given the cashier . . . it finally hit me, that was one of the coupons that was linked to my card – so it took BOTH the .55 coupon and the $1 coupon I handed the cashier!!! Linking more to my card could really add up the savings!

Absolutely! I also recently discovered Shortcuts, and I am very pleased with the whole program in general. The site is very user friendly, and even sends you emails when new coupons are available! Even better, Shortcuts is partnered with many other stores, not just Kroger.

*One note: Shortcuts is a service of AOL, but you do not need an AOL account or screenname to register. Any email address will do. You will need your Kroger Plus Card or other grocery store card to get started.

Now, if you are lucky enough to have Kroger nearby, they have also partnered with P&G eSAVER. This is similar to Shortcuts, but only features P&G brands.

You can actually sign up for both sites, load all the available coupons, AND still shop with regular coupons to really maximize the savings! No longer the case. I apologize for any confusion.

If you have tried Shortcuts or P&G eSAVER, let us know what you think!

Happy clipping….uh… I mean clicking!

They do not double, however you can combine these with regular coupons and those will still double or triple accordingly.

Combine those 2 methods with a rock-bottom sale, and you just got a great deal!
