…when a good freebie might come in handy.
I have said it before, I love requesting Freebies online! Some are used right away, and others go into a special drawer for future use or to be given away.
Not long ago, I received a free sample of shoe polish. I had no idea when I might have a use for it. Until yesterday. Since my hubby works at home, he very rarely has to get dolled up. But yesterday he had a client dinner meeting in Dallas.
As he was on the way out the door, he mentioned that he was going to stop by a shoe repair place to get the scuffs removed from his one and only pair of black dress shoes. My frugal ears perked up, and I stopped him just in time. A few minutes later, the shoes looked as good as new! This stuff works great, and you just never know when you may need it.
Another example: I requested a BPA-free bottle from Playtex last month. Now, I am not bottle feeding my youngest, but I knew it would be perfect for the next baby shower invite. I must go to baby showers once a month, so any and all baby freebies are a huge help to the gift budget. Sure enough, I went to a baby shower over the weekend, and included the bottle and my free diapers from CVS.
Perhaps you have never thought that requesting samples is worthy of your typing time. Give it a try, you may be pleasantly surprised!
