July is here, I can hardly believe it. Today is the day your Spring ECB 2% earnings will print at CVS.
I got mine with one swipe at the magic coupon machine. A whopping 2 bucks, woo hoo!
That is just fine with me, since I received over $1400 worth of products for roughly $100 over the course of the spring at CVS. It still seems too good to be true, but I have the stockpile to prove it. Amazing.
My Google Reader was full of CVS news today, so naturally, I want to share!
In addition to the Coppertone Water Babies sunscreen stick deal, it has been confirmed that Coppertone lip balm will also produce $10 ECB. Not all stores carry this product, so don’t be surprised if it is tough to find!
Another hidden deal has popped up, my favorite kind:
According to the July book, CVS Cleansing Towelettes 15 ct deal is buy 1 get $1 ECB LIMIT 5
But, it has been confirmed (by myself included) that they are giving back $2.99 in ECBs.
The “cleansing & make up remover” (blue package, UPC # 050428122396) is $2.99, so free after ECB.
This is a moneymaker when combined with the $2 off cvs skin care coupon!
I actually did this deal tonight:
2 CVS Pantiliner @ $0.99
2 CVS Tampons @ $1.49
1 CVS cleansing towelettes @2.99 (with coupon above)
1 CVS 3-pack paper towel @ $1.99
2 Gold Emblem Pretzels @ $0.99/2
Total before coupons= $10.93
I used the following CRTs from the magic coupon machine:
$3/10 CVS brand
$1/2 Gold Emblem Pretzels
$1/1 3-pack CVS paper towels
Total after coupons= $3.93
ECBs earned= $2.99, $1.98, $2.98
So, what are you waiting for? Get yourself to CVS before all the good stuff is gone! It is going faster than ever these days.
You may have read about another hidden deal with CVS Petroleum Jelly. Turns out this is NOT working after all, so do not expect ECBs. However, it is still FREE with the $2 skincare coupon above!
It’s not too late to jump in to The CVS $5 Challenge! There are some great scenarios so far, so be sure to check those out.
So, my fellow addicts, I mean CVSers. Share your success. How much did your spring spending earn YOU?

I received $2 because I only spent $100 Out of Pocket. The less you spend OOP, the better!

The magic coupon machine is God’s gift to CVSers everywhere.
Kidding…sorta. It is the red price scanner in your store. You scan your card, and it spits out coupons. You can actually do it 2-3 times per day!
Not every CVS has one, but be sure to look for it!

Hey Alyssa!
I began my CVS-ing last week, and became a bit crazed by it! I think I frightened my husband!! For me, the magic coupon machine only works one time a day. And there was one day that I was at three different CVS stores – it printed coupons the first time I scanned it, but that was it. I tried at every stop I made, and after that first time, it always told me to try again tomorrow. Also, I got a $3 off $10 purchase the first three times I scanned, but after that, I am now only getting two coupons, for $1 off some sort of CVS product.
I am dying to sit down and figure out how I really did at CVS last week – I’ll let you know when I figure it all out!
Take Care ~ Kimi

I also only received a dollar. I kinda look at it like a badge of honor though. It’s just another reminder of how little I spend these days thanks to CVS!
Thanks for the heads up on the hidden deals.
