I took a little break yesterday to enjoy the final day of my step-son’s visit. It was far too short, as usual.
He lives with his mother in California, and flies out by himself several times a year. This is by far the most difficult aspect of having a long-distance blended family. Those frequent flyer miles really come in handy!
Thankfully, in just a few weeks, we will all be headed to California for a week-long vacation and visit with family. Stay tuned for an upcoming post about our “frugal” trip to Orange County. Do those two words even belong in the same sentence?
Although I took the day off yesterday, the blogosphere did not. Here is a round up of posts I enjoyed:
For Your Viewing Entertainment from The “Cent”sible Sawyer
Minimizing Monday from Handprints On The Wall
C’Mon, It’ll Be Fun from Rocks In My Dryer
What In The World is Twitter? from Mom Advice
follow me on Twitter
Mommy Snacks: Q &A from Andrea
I am still in need of guest posters! I will feature my very first guest post this Thursday, from Carrie.

“”frugal” trip to Orange County”
Good luck! Hope you won’t be driving much.
We just got back from CA. Take a look at the pictures on my Zannel (see the widget on my site at http://www.hackyoursoul.com)

Did you see Rocks in My Dryer’s post called “One Day at a Time”? LOVED it…especially the part about “…I think that’s a Biblical way to say, ‘I HOPE YOU HAVE A CHILD JUST LIKE YOU SOMEDAY.'”
Hope you have a fantastic frugal vacation!
