My camera decided to stop working. Two weeks before our vacation. So, I dug up an old favorite.
I know, I look better as a blonde.
This was our family portrait taken just before our big move to Texas two years ago. This took hours of prep work, and about 300 shots! Even the seagulls were posing. I will always cherish this memory.
Since we will be back at the beach in just a few weeks, I would love to recreate this moment. So… my new mission is obtaining a frugal new camera. Perhaps I can work one into a CVS deal…
As I recall, CVS will have a special for disposable cameras the week of the 20th and some camcorder something the week of the 27th. 🙂
I didn’t pay attention to the details because I just got a great digital as a wedding gift. But I’m pretty sure I saw them mentioned – so good luck! 😉

Oh, guess I do understand why you allways will remember this.
I’ve allways lived close to the Ocean ( i.e. Salt Water and Fiords here in Norway). No more than a mile away. Thinking about living a place where I can’t smell the Sea – ho ho – that would be a very big challenge for me.

Wow, I did not expect all the feedback on my hair, LOL!
Funny story- the ONLY reason it was brunette was because I attempted to highlight my own hair. HUGE mistake. I had no choice but to dye it all brown right before this portrait. (Yes, that very day). Unfortunately, the nice brown color in the photo quickly faded to weird greenish hue.
I went back to blonde the following month, and never looked back. Perhaps I should reconsider? Nah, I am blonde and proud! 🙂
