Three years ago today, my sweet #2 was born at 5:01 pm. She weighed 6 lbs, 15 oz, and was 20″ long.
The entire family was there: Daddy, big sissy, both sets of grandparents, my sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and their three girls. Shane, my mother, my MIL, and my SIL were all able to watch the birth, while everyone else waited in the room, but separated from us by a curtain.
My little Mittens was my cheerleader, and from the other side of the curtain we could hear, “Push, Mommy, push! Push, push, push!” Very memorable!
Her birth was pretty cut-and-dried; I pushed for 17 minutes, and out she came: blue eyes, dark fuzzy head, and tiny! She was just perfect.
Today, she is a fiesty, fiery, independent red-head with tons of spunk. She has her Momma’s personality. Reese is my sweet little pumpkin, and is a constant joy in our lives, even if she is still attached to her pacifier!

Happy Birthday, sweet Pumpkin! Aunt Rachel and Uncle Randy love you soooo much. I still remember being at Bible Study here in Dallas when your Daddy called to tell me you were here. And I remember holding you for the first time, taking big sis to the park so mom and dad could get some rest. Ah, you have been a blessing. Love you little red-head!
