Kroger

Oh, wow, was Kroger ever fun today!  There were TONS of couponers in my Kroger.  We all smiled at each others different ways of coup0ning.  My binder really impressed a teenage boy.  That was nice.

Anywho, Kroger was PACKED, and as I waited to check out, many of my fellow consumers were looking around at all the people and saying, “Wow!  What are all these people doing here?”

I responded with, “Super-double-coupon-day!  Double coupons $1 and under.”  Those people were not impressed!

I came out of Kroger with lots of yogurt, 89¢ milk, FREE baby food, and everything else for very cheap.  I missed out on some of the other free goodies, but I could not get up early enough to make it to the store at 6 am did not get there very early.  Doode, I drove 45 minutes for this sale, and I HAD to hit Old Navy first!  I am happy with my Kroger trip 🙂

Total Value – $120.59

Total OOP – $62.83

Total Savings – $57.76, or 49%

Old Navy

I hit Old Navy to snag my 5 $2 tanks, and came out with 5 bags stuffed with clothes.

I combed the clearance racks, where everything was an additional 50% off!  Holla!  After coupons and the discounts, I got Shane a tie for… 5¢!

old-navy-tripTotal Value – $569.50

Total OOP – $85.79

Total Savings – $483.71, or 85%!

I also hit Target, getting loads of Kashi and free apples.

How did you do this week?  Did you snag some $2 Old Navy tanks or hit Kroger?

Okay, so I was one of those “crazy” people who went to Kroger at Midnight….I got in line at 1:35am. I checked out at 3:30am!!!!
But, I made some new friends and bought $182.00 worth of food for $49.72!!! Then, I went back Saturday night and spent $27.00 for $76.00 worth of stuff. All in all, a good day and no more shopping for me!

My Kroger in Ga was not doing the double coupon thing- just coupons up to 50 cents were doubled – I was really bummed – but I did use a few coupons and got only the things I needed for the week and still saved over $30.

Liz – that is NOT crazy 🙂 If I had lived closer to a Kroger, I would have SO been there at midnight!

Mary Lynn – 🙁 That’s sad about missing out on the double $1, but you still had GREAT savings! Awesome 🙂

Britt – I am nuts. I can admit it!!! LOL!
