Welcome to my Weekly Savings Report, where I share with you my grocery shopping success, and other ways I save money.

I did not grocery shop this week (I was super sad, because I didn’t get to hit the great Kashi sale at Target!), because everything I needed was out of town.  It rained waayyy too much for me to drive very far (yes, I’m paranoid!).

But, I did save a few bucks this week!

I have to confess, that I am a book addict.  I LOVE reading!  I am currently obsessed with loving James Patterson’s novels.  I was intrigued when I saw my sister-in-law reading one of his books back in January.  I decided to give his books a try.

So, what did I do?  I hopped onto an online book store and promptly bought several a few of his books from the Women’s Murder Club series.

I became hooked.

So…. I went back online and ordered the remaining books in the series.  (You would think I might have wizened up a bit…)

A few weeks ago, I decided I wanted to explore more James Patterson novels.  This time, I went to the library, rather than online.

Library books are FREE (did you know that?  Because it looks like I didn’t!).  So, instead of paying for these books, I can just borrow them from our local library!

{In my defense, here is a bit of back story regarding my library situation… it is only open from noon until 5 pm… which is lunchtime, nap time, and supper; and Saturdays, 9-noon.  Saturdays are always hectic, so there really is not time}.

That is my saving story for the week.  Hopefully, I am the only one who has been missing out on all that the library has to offer, and my situation is a rarity.  My girls LOVE the library.  In fact, they are actually quiet when we go.  That, is a miracle in itself.
