I don’t really have a tip since I need this so bad to get organized. Right now my coupons are in a drawer all over the place 🙁

Please please let me win this

  2. Stacey Patterson says

My best couponing tip would have to be only CUT out or PRINT out the ones you are REALLY going to use. I cut or print out some really good ones that are free or ALMOST free to give them a shot. But you are going to become too overwhelmed it you cut or print everything and really don’t have any intention of USING it. 🙂

  3. Topaz says

The only thing I really do now is take ads to my grocery store and price match then use my coupon on top of it! It takes some time in the grocery store that I always dont have to spare, but in the end it ‘pays’ off!

  4. says

My best couponing tip is this… don’t fall behind. No matter what method you use, it is important to not fall behind on organizing your inserts!

  5. Jordan says

My tip is to leave the kiddos and husband at home. Without other people adding things to your cart it is much easier to stick to your list. And of course don’t go shopping when you are hungry… I know that tip has been around the block… but it is so simple and soooo true!

  6. Ivonne S. says

I am not sure if mine is a tip, but I practice a lot of control by only getting what is on sale and I have a coupon for. I believe in stockpiling so that I only pay the best price I can for all my purchases. I am always trying to walk out of the store with great savings so makes it easy to avoid picking things up along the way!

  7. says

Make sure you know your stores’ coupon policies. Some stores in my area double coupons up to $.50, some triple up to $.50, and some stores only take coupons at face value. Some stores will only double 2 identical coupons. Knowing each store’s policy can help you use your coupons most effectively!

  8. says

My couponing top would be to make a list, coordinate coupons with the list BEFORE heading out to the store.
THEN, if I don’t want to carry around the BIG BOOK OF EVERYTHING….it’s ok…I have the coupons for what I NEED…and maybe i’ll stick to that plan!
    Thanks…
    what a neat giveaway!

  9. Phebe says

My best couponing tip is to cut everything and bring everything. I tried to simplify things by just cutting and bringing the coupons I needed but I always end up finding something that I didn’t know I needed at the time and then the coupon’s at home.

  10. says

my best coupon tip is to subscribe to blogs that give you all of the coupon matchups. Those blogs have saved me so much time and energy. It doesn’t get much easier than that when they tell me the coupon to use to save the most money and what paper it came out of or where I can print it from.

Every tip I read are ones that I would have mentioned….leaving kids at home, subscribe to help websites for matching Qs and sales, stockpiling using your coupons. Thanks for the giveaway!

The only tip I can provide right now for couponing is…READ THE BLOGS! I’ve only hit the tip of the iceberg. Your blog and so many others are inspiring me to become thrifty and save lots and lots of money! I just have to get started. There are so many articles and suggestions to read first though. Maximize it all to become a better spender…I’m sure the man of the household will be pleased as well! =P

Once you start you stay addicted to it. You must you have to do is stay on top of the sales. Be sure and look at them as soon as they come out. And track your saving…It is always rewarding to see how much you are saving.

  14. Julie L says

If you get coupon inserts in your newspapers etc. clip right away 🙂 If I don’t, the newspapers accumulate 🙂

  15. Amy Bugg says

My only tip is when bringing coupons to the store DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN YOUR POCKET. You only save money if you use them. I’m tired of bringing them and not using them. I’m also a fan on The Couponizer. Pritbuggs@sbcglobal.net

  16. says

Best tip? Search couponmom database to make sure there are no coupons left unmatched with your list. Use becentsable.com’s Grocery Gathering to find deals at your favorite store. All in all, these should save you a LOT of money.

    Thanks for the great giveaway!

  17. Rachel says

My tip: make a list, check it twice! (Sorry, I couldn’t help the seasonal comment!) I check multiple blogs – local AND out of state – before I go shopping to make sure I don’t miss a deal or a coupon match-up. Then I put the list and coupons together in an envelope-size accordian file (sorted by store) with store cards, ECBs and RRs. I keep my reusable bags in the car (trunk) for the stores that give credit AND to help the environment. The last thing I do when unloading from shopping is to replace the bags in the car so they will always be there when I need them!

  18. says

My best tip for fellow couponers would be to make a a coupon binder to take with you at all times. Either keep it in your car or somewhere real handy cause you never when an unadvertised deal is on.

  19. Stephanie P. says

My best tip is to keep up with the great blogs available – They help me make sure I have found the best deals on the things my family always needs!

  20. Priya says

Shop when the product is on sale and use manufacture coupons. Also use store coupons to save money further especially at drugstores…

  21. Leanne says

My best coupon tip would be to match up coupons with ads before going shopping, use the internet and take advantage of all the printables that are out there and to always take your coupons with you shopping. You never know what hidden deals you will find!
    Thanks for the chance!!

  22. Kristin says

Clip them immediately and store them all in the same place. Try to organize them so that you can find them easily when you are in the store.

  23. says

Like others, I pair coupons with sales to maximize savings….but one that that’s really helped me is to have 1 place where I keep the coupons that I’m going to redeem. When an item goes into my cart, it’s coupon gets put into an envelope marked “REDEEM.” Then at the checkout, I just empty the envelope. No more worries about whether I got all the coupons or not. And the cashiers like it too. Happy cashiers, make it a happier shopping experience.

  24. Katie S. says

My best tip is to seperate seperate seperate! It’s way easier to figure out what you have coupons for if they are seperated 🙂

  25. IrisGretel Jarfree says

i have learned so much following all the blogs. it’s opened up a world for me i never knew existed. thanks!

  26. Leigh Ann says

I have my 3 year old help me cut out my coupons. She’s learning to cut on the line, the value of saving money, and she gets excited when we use them at the store.

  27. Angela says

My husband goes with me to the grocery store on double coupon days. I make a list of the things I need from other sites that have hot deals, paste them into MS Word and pull all needed coupons. When we get to the store I am the “coupon wifey” (courtesy of my husband). When put a coupon item in the cart, I say, “Coupon Hubbs.” This is the cue that the coupon has to be given to the cashier. Best of all, my husband said he actually likes to go grocery shopping with me! ; )

  28. Diane says

My tip – When shopping at Walgreens have a plan of action. I always have more than one transaction, so while at home, without pressure, I plan each transaction. I include what coupons I have, the amount they’re for and include any register rewards. I then total everything so I roughly know how much each transactions should cost. It helps me find mistakes.

  29. Trish Rowell says

wow this looks so fantastic. I am very new to couponing and I try to make sure I print out as many coupons for items I am in need of as I can
    thank you

  30. says

I could SO use this! I guess my biggest tip would be to take advantage of all the coupon matching blogs and sites on the web. Someone has done all the work matching, you just have to find the coupons and keep them organized.

  31. ashley hudson says

My best tip is to check coupon forums for stores that you shop frequently and to make an list of items that you want to purchase. Then look for your coupons so that everything is set for the trip to the store.

  32. Laurie K Green says

My best tip is to sign up with companies online that offer coupons either through email or snail mail. I have found some great deals that way.

  33. Jennifer H says

My best tip is checking multiple blogs for the best deals & make sure I don’t miss a thing! Then I make my list, have all my printable/cut out coupons and go!

  34. Velvet B says

Just subscribed via rss. I love checking multiple blogs to find the best scenarios for purchasing at low prices with coupons for the best deals!

  35. Karen Grantham says

i use my old mini photo books that used to come with prints at walmart to organize my coupons for trips. they open on the side which is nice

  36. Amy L says

My best tip is to set aside time once a week to do your clipping, sorting and planning. I use Sunday afternoon because it’s the slowest time in our house. In about 2 hours, I can clip inserts, sort into categories and pull expired coupons. Then I take about another hour to make a shopping plan based on the inserts.

  37. Kristie says

My best couponing tip is save every coupon- you never know when an amazing sale will come along!

  38. mandi says

I write down EVERY coupon I’m going to use on an envelope with the coupons inside. Thay way I don’t forget any

  39. tinap says

I clip my coupons and file them on Sunday evenings while watching TV. When I file the new ones I discard the expired ones at the same time. If I do this every week, I don’t get behind.

  40. Carrie Mustin says

Just became a fan on facebook. The expired coupons can still be used up to six months by military family on base. Think about donating them.

  41. Brandy says

Always buy toddler clothes a year ahead. Buy winter clothes in Feb., spring clothes in June, and so forth. Then, you can always get them on sale and don’t have to buy on impulse or need.

  42. Brandi says

my best tip is to spend a couple hours getting all your coupons organized and then match them up to the weekly sales your particular store is having

  43. says

My best couponing tip is ‘just do it’. So many people want to coupon, but make so many excuses why they don’t. My advice is just give it a shot and see how much you can save.

  44. angie jurs says

Being organize with your coupons by knowing what you have. Try to plan meals for about 3 days. This way you dont have food that goes to waste and you save more knowing you used coupons.

  45. says

I am addicted to couponing. My best tip is to be organized. Don’t go without a list and checking out ads/sales early…you’ll be in there forever. Also I do a lot better without my kids…I always end up buying extra treats or fun things when they come with me…lol 🙂

  46. Alicia says

Try to rearrange your schedule to shop without children. Makes keeping track of all your coupons and savings that much easier!

  47. says

Keeping your coupons with your shopping bags by the door or in the van is always a good idea. I have been caught too often running in for somehting without my coupons
.-= Mary Lynn´s last blog ..It Is You =-.

  48. Emily Smith says

Don’t stress out thinking you have to go to every store in town to get all the good deals. Inevitably those deals will come to the store(s) you shop.

  49. Dawn says

I am extremely new at couponing and would love to have the Couponizer! I spent about and hour in Walgreens today b/c I was searching for the right coupons in my envelope full of cut out coupons! It was horrible! It does help me to check out all of the different couponing blogs to see the deals out there and then just cut and paste the deals I want to use in a Word document. That way I have the process there in front of my while I am at the store!

  50. Maggie M. says

My favorite tip is to save those B1G1 free coupons you get until the item goes on sale, you can sometimes end up with 2 items free!
    Thanks!
