This meal is quick, easy, and frugal… not so much on the healthy side, but pretty darn tasty. {That’s why I only have this picture… Hubby could not wait to dig in! Ha!}
Tator Tot Casserole
Ingredients:
:: 3/4 bag Tator Tots (enough to cover the bottom of a 9×13 pan)
:: 2 1/2 to 3 cups ground turkey, browned
:: 2 14oz cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
:: 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (more if desired!)
Directions:
1. Cover bottom of 9×13 pan with parchment paper. (You don’t want it sticking, do you?)
2. Add Tator Tots.
3. Mix ground turkey with soup. Spread mixture on top of Tator Tots.
4. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
5. Bake uncovered in a 350° oven for 35-45 minutes.
6. Enjoy the creamy, cheesy goodness.

We like to add in a little Worcestershire sauce for extra flavor, too. 🙂 (When I remember, that is…)

Lynn, my grandmother also made this… I remember her’s being better, but I’m sure that’s because everything she made was better! Ha!

That looks really good! I love tatertot casserole, but the hubby doesn’t like it so much. I’ll have to take Amy’s suggestion and put some Worcestershire in it next time. Maybe that will change his mind.

That looks really good, do you think I could substitute something for the cream of mushroom soup, I am not a big fan… maybe cream of potato?

We love tater tot casserole, but we do it a little different. We use 1 lb ground beef, one can cream of mushroom and one can cream of celery. We put the tots on top and cook until extra crispy, then add some cheese until melted. Yummy!
