I am a procrastinating party planner. I always have been. I am not sure why I delay putting plans in place for my girls’ birthdays, but I do.
Little R’s 4th birthday was March 19. We celebrated that day with MeMe, 3 cousins, 2 sisters, and Chuck E. Cheese. We wanted to have a party at our house, but church activities kept coming up, making Saturdays impossible party days.
Shane and I looked ahead and decided to have R’s party on April 17 (yes, that is tomorrow). I went right to work on invitations, party favors, decorations, everything. I was going to be early on this party.
Well, it is the day before the party, and I finally contacted all of the family… yesterday.
Not only that, but I didn’t check the calendar, and planned R’s party on her cousin’s birthday.
I did get some of the invitations out two weeks ago, but not all of them.
Oh, and did I mention that Prom is tomorrow night? And, I may or may not get to see my “son” in his tux?
{Takes a bow}
And, just imagine, I had plans to be a wedding planner before I got pregnant with A.

I love you, you know that?! 🙂 I can appreciate biting off more than I can chew….why do we do that to ourselves? I’m sure R won’t know the difference and will enjoy her party no matter how it turns out.
Oh dear. LOL about the wedding planner, I had the same aspirations for a while. When I looked around and realized I couldn’t even keep up with laundry I realized that particular career wouldn’t work for me 🙂

I have actually planned weddings for many years! Lol 😉 And they almost always seem to go off well… never completely without a hitch, but nothing does. ha! However, I too drag my feet when planning kids parties and such. It’s so different when it’s personal. Dunno why???
ha ha! loved the wedding planner comment at the end….only because I completely understand! ^_^
Better late then never, right?!
