It’s been awhile since I have been able to go shopping on my own, so I was really excited about Kroger’s Mega Event this week because I can DRIVE now!
My closest Kroger is about 40 minutes away, and they were having a huge celebration this week because they have recently remodeled the store.
So, Kroger was beyond packed when I pulled in.
Seriously, I could not find a parking spot.
But the store looked amazing, and I have never had better service at a store anywhere.
I got all of the stuff pictured above (total value $233.36) for $65.44… a total savings of 72%.
To make my list, I used the Kroger Deals Matchups from Couponing 101.
My savings breakdown was:
– $34.95 savings from manufacturer coupons.
– $6.00 savings from bonus coupons.
– $126.97 savings from Kroger’s Mega Sale.
– Total Savings = $162.97
I had a blast watching my total decrease with every coupon. I’m a coupon geek and I love it!

Yay, Becky! I’m so glad.
The coupon journey is so fun… I really enjoy it 🙂
I’m not sure where you live, but Couponing 101 has the best store matchups, and she really has great couponing tutorials (even if you don’t live in her area, they still apply).
Thanks for commenting!

I did the Kroger Mega Event last week and the week before. I spent $128 over the last 2 weeks at Kroger and saved right at $250. I stocked up on broth, pasta, hot chocolate, toothpaste and soups enough for probably 6 or more months. I was SO excited. I have been doing this for 3 years and I use southernsavers.com and love it. I also use southernsavers for Rite Aid, Wags and CVS. My Kroger is about 12 mins. from me so I dropped in several times when we were in town for orthodontist appointments or errand running, etc. The cashiers know me and my kids (lol) and I have 2 cashiers that I just love, they are so helpful and are excited to see my total go down. Love Mega Event weeks!
