Homeschool Wrap-Up {11/12}

So this week didn’t completely go as planned when we had a power outage on Tuesday morning. We were without electricity from 7 am to 10 am. It wasn’t really a big deal, except it was time to do school. So the girls piled in by the windows in the living room and did their work by what little daylight came in from the cloudy day. It was a fun adventure, but not one I want to repeat anytime soon.  I’m pretty spoiled to having coffee before school 😉

Homeschooling the the dark.

The rest of the week went smoothly. Our Story of the World history curriculum came in, so we started that with interviews with the girls’ grandparents (and us, of course!). Everyone’s new handwriting books came in a few weeks ago, as did our new language curriculum, First Language Lessons for the Well-Trained Mind.

Abby helping Reese say the assigned poem.

Abby helping Meleah say the poem. This was hilarious.

Abby, of course, had the poem memorized very quickly and recited it several times.  She definitely loved helping her sisters!

I am currently putting together a Thanksgiving lapbook, of which I hope to show you soon!
