I am trying to spread out the Disney love over the next few days and weeks so you guys (hopefully) don’t get tired of reading about it! Here is my initial recap and the scoop on our first day, if you missed them.
Friday morning began with a breakfast sponsored by Hanes. I even got to eat with both hands because Shane kept Cam for me before he and the girls met some of the other hubbies to go to Animal Kingdom.

I missed my little buddy, though, and soon he was right back next to me in the MobyGO (review coming soon!).

After breakfast, we were treated to some Monster’s University fun.
And we were “ordered” out of the room for lunch by Storm Troopers! It was so funny!
The girls really enjoyed exploring the Animal Kingdom park.

My favorite part of the conference sessions was hearing Disney Parks Social Media Director Thomas Smith and Social Media Managing Editor Gary Buchanan share a behind-the-scenes look at the Disney blog and how they use the “Disney Difference” to showcase their parks and resorts.
After the conference, I headed to the room. Shane and the girls were enjoying a swim at the hotel pool (if you can call it a pool… it looked more like a mini water park!) and then we all got ready for that evening’s party.
Cam loved the Pooh we received with our lunch promo items 🙂
At 7:30, the motor coaches transported us to the Red Carpet Social at Disney Hollywood Studios, where we got to meet Goofy, Minnie, and Mickey!
The girls had a blast meeting the characters, and didn’t think it could get any better. We ended up on our “own” motor coach (with all of their friends) on the way back to the hotel and then watched the fireworks over Cinderella’s Castle before going inside.
When we reached our room, Merida had left a surprise in honor of her coronation the next morning. The girls couldn’t believe it!
Disclosure: I attended the Disney Social Media Moms Conference and received discounted rates, accommodations, and tickets to various events and attractions. All opinions are mine, all mine.
