I love making and giving homemade gifts for Christmas.

Sugar-Scrub

Last year, I gave an assortment of lip balms, sugar scrubs, and soaps, and they were a hit, especially the sugar scrub. The best part? I made it in under 5 minutes. Easy, inexpensive, and quick? Yes, please!

Tie a ribbon around the rim, and cover the lid with burlap or a pretty material, for a sweet and fun gift. Sugar scrub is a fantastic gift idea for moms, sisters, friends, teachers, or yourself! The half-pint jars are a great size for a stocking stuffer. The ideas are endless!

Citrus oils can be photosensitive, so keep that in mind while using them in your scrubs. I have used this and not had any problems, but those with sensitive skin might use this in the evenings, rather than in the mornings.

i made this from your recipe last night and had a question…..do you use the sugar scrub all over the body or just feet and rough spots?

This sounds great for an upcoming make and take! Could I use already fractionated coconut oil instead of melted?

      Hi Tierra,

Sure! I would think it would work quite well. I’ve also used almond and olive, although some do not like the aroma of olive. 😉 Almond is aroma-free.

Hi! Planning on making this soon, do you use fractionated coconut oil or just regular coconut oil that has been melted? Where I live it will harden pretty quickly! 🙂

I absolutely love the sugar scrub. Every time I get a pedicure they always use a sugar scrub and charge so much for it. Now I can make my own and save money. I will use this next time we have a girls night and we are doing mani pedis. I will make a little jar for each of the ladies. Such a cute gift idea! Thanks for sharing. Shalom
