I have been making my own hand soap for three years now. Why buy it when I can make it so easily AND avoid yucky toxins at the same time?! Plus, it’s fun. {Have I mentioned I’m kind of a nerd?!}
Along with Sugar Scrub, homemade Foaming Hand Soap can make a nice and easy addition to a “personal care” gift basket.
Homemade Lavender Foaming Hand Soap
- Foaming hand soap dispenser
- 2 Tbsp Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap {I prefer the unscented}
- 5-7 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- Water
Add the Castile soap to the dispenser, and then add the essential oil. Gently shake the bottle to let the oils combine with the soap. Slowly add water {I just use tap} until the bottle is about 3/4 of the way full. Screw on the dispenser and voilà! Homemade hand soap in under 5 minutes.
For the dispenser, you can reuse a foaming soap container you already have, or purchase some on Amazon.
Peppermint or Thieves are also a fun alternatives!
