Along with homemade sugar scrub, a soothing jar of bath salts is a thoughtful gift for anyone on your list. It’s also incredibly easy to make!
Lavender and Grapefruit Bath Soak
- 3 Cups Epsom Salt
- 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- 10 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil
Combine Epsom Salts with essential oils. I found that using a pastry blender makes it easier to blend the essential oils into the epsom salts well. Add to jars and tie with a ribbon, twine, and/or cover lids with pretty fabric, if you desire. Gift with instructions to add 1 Tbsp bath salts to warm bath water.
Yield: 4 half-pint jars, perfect for gifting!
Add these bath salts to a basket with homemade hand soap and sugar scrub {and maybe a bottle of lavender essential oil!} for a very special gift.
Happy gifting!
Citrus oils can be photosensitive, so keep that in mind while using them in your scrubs. I have used this and not had any problems, but those with sensitive skin might use this in the evenings, rather than in the mornings.
